I can't believe that this summer has gone by so fast. Today is the first day of August (also my daddy's birthday!) and school will be starting in no time. I can't remember a summer going this fast since I was a little girl., and now that we have kiddos of our own it sure goes quickly.
We have had a family reunion at the lake, birthday parties, dance practice, summer baseball, cousin time, and plenty of sunshine. We have just about checked everything off of our bucket list for this summer.
One of my best friends, and her three girls came and stayed Monday night. She left her 4 and 3 year old here for the week, and the kids are having a blast. We have had one tantrum, and TONS of fun. So for the week I have two sets of twins, and a set of triplets. (crazy lady I know, but seriously I love it!)
This week has been a lot of fun for us. Lil Miss started the week with her first ever summer camp. Her friend that is staying with us is old enough to go with her and joined her Tuesday-the rest of the week. Next year when the other two middle kiddos are old enough they will get to go. What am I going to do with only 3 at home ::dreaming now:: It was held at her preschool teachers farm and all week they have done crafts, hiked, cared for the farm animals, ate their own packed lunch, and even made new friends. Today they went on a scavenger hunt, and for the final day tomorrow they will play in a mud pit. The girls can't wait.
One thing I am determined to do by the end of summer is to get Z to ride a gosh darn bike. He can peddle, he just chooses not to. He would rather chase the kids then ride along side them.
I am SO excited that my mama and step-dad are coming up this weekend. Their visits are always nice and everyone enjoys the quality Nana and Papa time since they live 4.5 hours south of us. Coach and I also will be attending a wedding alone. Can we say DATE NIGHT!!!
